At Just Little Kidz, our outdoor environment features natural gardens, climbing structures, natural play equipment, a large sandpit, chicken coop and water play to encourage children to explore their world around them. Children are offered open spaces to play freely, time to explore and discover and opportunities to experiment with their world. Our outdoor setting offers opportunities for autonomous and risky play. As children become more independent, they explore the world on their own and discover how to express themselves. They also begin to understand how their choices and actions influence outcomes, and learn what they do and do not have control over. Autonomous and risky play helps children develop a sense of self.
